I have stage 4 chronic kidney disease. Consequently, I occasionally get leg cramps that are not particularly painful, but my muscles just will not release.

As soon as I flex my calves to stretch out my shins, my calves cramp up. And if I try to stretch my calves, my shins cramp up, etc. You get the picture. While this is not extraordinarily painful, it does make it difficult to sleep at night.

So I put a few drops of Peppermint and Lavender essential oils in my hands and rubbed them on my shins and calves. Within a few seconds, my legs stopped cramping altogether, and I was able to fall asleep.

I am somewhat new to essential oils, so I was really excited to experience the effects firsthand!
