Small Toe Dislocated After Stubbing It On The Bed

When I stubbed my small toe on the bed, it totally fell out of joint. It was pointing out at nearly a 45-degree angle! It immediately swelled up and turned black and blue.

I cannot even describe the pain. I cannot say for sure that it was broken because I never went in for an X-ray. But I am pretty darned sure that it was!

After icing my toe, I reached for my essential oils. I decided to use Balsam fir, Wintergreen, and Deep Relief. When these helped to lessen the discomfort, I very gently moved the toe back into place, securing it to the next one with a band-aid.

Every two hours, I removed the band-aid and reapplied the oils. To my amazement, the aching became tolerable, the swelling subsided, and the bruising began to lighten up.

By the next day, the swelling was pretty much gone. I continued this regimen for the next week, after which time I felt that I no longer needed to secure the toe. Each day during that time, the soreness gradually faded.

By week two, the toe appeared perfectly normal. I did experience a little tenderness from time to time, but it was nothing that a small swipe of Deep Relief couldn't handle!

That ordeal was over a year ago, and I haven't had a single problem with the toe since!
