Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I started looking into essential oils after searching for natural remedies to assist me in fighting my issues with memory loss, fatigue, and increasingly worse symptoms associated with my menstrual cycle. I began this search after a close friend (that used to work with me as a RN) suggested Young Living, based on the quality and purity of their oils and the longevity of the company.

I was hopeful because of countless testimonials but skeptical because of my inherent need to find factual, evidence-based information to back up claims. The results people were saying they had were sometimes unbelievable.

I got an introductory kit and started using the essential oils based on people's testimonials and company suggestions as far as usage, hoping to find evidence that essential oils worked. Nothing really jumped out at me. However, the Lemon oil in water was invigorating, and Peppermint just seemed to immediately lift my mood and give a little spring in my step.

I received a free bottle of Bergamot essential oil from Young Living after an order I made and was researching the constituents and historical usage of Citrus bergamia. I set it aside for later use after seeing that Bergamot has been said to aid in female hormonal support, as well as other things:

One day I was having sustained, awful cramps and figured, "Hey, Bergamot essential oil may have something to do with women's hormonal issues. And since I do not have my usual Midol available and am definitely not up to going anywhere... what the heck, I am gonna see what this does, but it is a stretch."

I just rubbed 3 drops of Bergamot essential oil all over my abdomen and sat back down to play Peggle. It felt warm all over my abdomen. Not more than 5-10 minutes later I stopped to realize, "Hey! My cramps are gone!" I could not believe it! I never had something help me this fast!

I tried it a couple more times down the road, always with the same effect. I was so excited that the effect of something not even indicated for my issue helped in such a noticeable way. I even tried it later to help alleviate stomach discomfort, and sure enough, it was gone too!

This may not work for others because everyone's body is different; but I HAD to share how awesome it was for me.

Blessings!

They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
