Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My husband was treated with the Lupron Depot, a 3-month time-release shot for prostate cancer. This depletes the testosterone, plus wreaks havoc in total hormonal balance. He was having upwards of 40 hot flashes each day.

I came upon a solution. I used an empty inhaler tube (like the kind you might have for a stuffy nose) that comes with a wick-type fabric inside, which I soaked half and half with first one end in Thyme essential oil and then the other end in Basil essential oil. No dilution was needed. It was approximately 5-6 drops on each end and could be refreshed as time went by.

He then would inhale two deep inhales into each nostril at the first sign of a hot flash coming on. It stopped his hot flashes within 30 seconds, and they would dwindle away into nothingness.

This worked for him like a charm for months during his treatments. He would tie a string to his inhaler so that he could carry it with him and have it ready at short notice. Otherwise his hot flashes would last over 5 minutes.

Perhaps this will be of some help to others, men or women, who are dealing with hormonal imbalances. Good luck. We felt blessed to have found an easy solution with no side effects.
