I wanted to share the great results I have had using Lavender essential oil to handle my daily stresses in the work environment.
I have been under extreme pressure to get things done quickly and efficiently for large projects at work. I was getting home with headaches and a stiff neck. I was also extremely irritable due to tiredness, and my mind would just keep racing into the next steps at work.
Then I recognized my stresses and immediately grabbed my essential oils to seek relief. Lavender essential oil has been a lifesaver. I diffuse a few drops in the orb diffuser while working. I love it because it is not too overpowering and does not overwhelm my coworkers, as we work in an open-space environment.
I rub a few diluted drops on my neck and feel an immediate relief towards calmness. My mood shifts from "I cannot do all of this... and by when?" to "Okay, I can accomplish this immediately and work on finishing that by...."
My outlook changes, and my workload seems manageable just a few minutes after applying the Lavender oil directly on my skin. I went from reviewing a large report over 150 pages long (which initially looked impossible) to tackling a few chapters a day and completing the task in record time.
In the evening I add some epsom salts with a few drops of Lavender essential oil to my bath and feel like all the worries are being washed away. Thoughts of an easy evening start to drift into my mind.
I spray my bed linens using a few drops of Lavender essential oil in distilled water with a pinch of salt. This helps me to fall asleep fast and not think of all the things I still have to do at work. My mind basically shuts off so I can get a good night's rest. My hubby reaps the benefits as well.
Before turning in at night, I will diffuse a few drops of Lavender essential oil at my bedside. Doing so gives me the best sleep and helps me awaken ready to face a new day with all of life's challenges ahead of me.
