I had an annoying cold for the past few weeks. It was not so much my nose as it was my throat. It was filled with phlegm and it was driving me crazy!

When someone has a lot of phlegm in their throat, it can be hard to breathe. I kept getting the urge to swallow the phlegm because it was hard to cough up. Drinking hot drinks did not seem to be helping much.

I discovered a few essential oils that could possibly help me with my problem. First I tried Lavender and Helichrysum, putting one drop of each on my throat area. I tried this for a couple days, but it did not seem to help.

I then read that Peppermint essential oil could possibly help to ease a congested throat. I started to put a couple drops of Peppermint essential oil on my throat area, rubbing it in thoroughly. I did this for several days.

The mucus started to dislodge from my throat within a few days. After just a few days more, it was completely gone.

Peppermint essential oil is amazing!
