For the past 5 or 6 months I have been having a hard time getting restful sleep and an even harder time falling asleep. It was taking me about 2 to 3 hours a night to fall asleep (aka insomnia), and the smallest disturbance would wake me up when I finally was asleep (aka sleep maintenance insomnia).

I have been pretty stressed out lately, so I think that was the main cause of my insomnia. I decided to try using the following regimen:

About ten minutes before going to bed, I would begin diffusing Lavender essential oil. I would also apply one drop of Cedarwood essential oil on the bottom of each foot and about 2 drops of Cedarwood on the back of my neck.

After two days of doing this, I am falling asleep within 10 minutes and staying asleep through my fiance's alarm and all other small disturbances in the night and morning. These essential oils smell wonderful too!
