Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

There is a common misconception concerning viral infections. It is that once we have a viral infection we are doomed to feel miserable for at least two weeks or longer. This is simply not true....

Here is a protocol I use to eradicate a virus within a few days' time. I use therapeutic grade essential oils such as Melissa, Clove, Cinnamon and Lemongrass. I reapply a drop of each oil topically on vita-flex points every hour or so to hit the virus hard!

Next I raise my body temperature, inducing a profound sweat and detox. Before getting in the bath, I place the essential oils on my spine as well as steam diffusing directly in the very hot bath. I also add two pounds of epsom salts to my bath.

I alkalize my lymphatic fluid and blood by adding one teaspoon of Bob's Red Mill aluminum-free baking soda to each quart of filtered drinking water.

And of course I eat very lightly, if at all. It is proven that microbes do not replicate quickly within an alkaline terrain, and eating lightly gives my body the extra energy that it needs to heal.

If I have not dealt with the virus at the first signs of the infection and prevented the problem at the first signs of imbalance, I resolve the viral infection within a few days with this protocol. I'll bet you can as well!

This study demonstrates that heat stops viral replication. Who says viruses have to stick around for weeks?

"The efficacy of two heating cycles (90 sec at 103 degrees C and 10 hr at 65 degrees C) used during manufacture of a plasma-derived hepatitis-B vaccine was validated for the inactivation of 12 virus families."

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: colds — "In confirming the presence of peripheral airways dysfunction in nonsmokers with uncomplicated common colds, our data imply that the changes can be modified favorably by short-term aromatics inhalation."Link
2.Associated topics: colds — "Cineole has mucolytic, bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory properties and reduces the exacerbation rate in patients suffering from COPD, as well as ameliorates symptoms in patients suffering from asthma and rhinosinusitis.... The effects of Cineole in the treatment of acute bronchitis were clearly measurable and could be proven after a treatment period of merely 4 days. This study corroborates the fact that Cineole actively and significantly reduces cough frequency after four days."Link
3.Associated topics: virus — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
4.Associated topics: flu-(Influenza),virus,colds — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
5.Associated topics: acidic-/-alkaline-/-pH-balance — "Gastroprotective effects of Lemon essential oil: In ethanol model, CL (citrus lemon) and LIM (limonene) [component of Lemon] demonstrated 100% of gastroprotection.... In the indomethacin model, CL and LIM offered effective gastroprotection...."Link
6.Associated topics: infection — "[We] investigate[d] antimicrobial treatment of an infected [Staphylococcus aureus] cochlear implant, undertaken in an attempt to salvage the infected device.... 5 percent tea tree oil completely eradicated the biofilm following exposure for 1 hour.... Treatment of infected cochlear implants with novel agents such as tea tree oil could significantly improve salvage outcome."Link
7.Associated topics: infection — "The antibacterial activity of 14 essential oils and their major constituents in the gaseous state was evaluated against [respiratory tract pathogens] Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Staphylococcus aureus. [The] oils [with cinnamon bark, lemongrass, and thyme being most potent] and their major constituents were shown to be effective against various bacteria tested.... These results indicate that the antibacterial action of essential oils was most effective when at high vapor concentration for a short time."Link
8.Associated topics: infection — "As proven in vitro, essential oils [Eucalyptus, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Thyme, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Clove, Sandalwood, Peppermint, Sage] represent a cheap and effective antiseptic topical treatment option even for antibiotic-resistant strains [such] as MRSA and antimycotic [antifungal]-resistant Candida species."Link
