My husband's beard is very full and long. He also has dry skin under all that hair. So we decided to make a beard balm that he can put on at the roots and work his way down. It not only helps his dry skin but also helps with keeping his beard soft and not yucky and full of germs.

To make this we used a few tablespoons of beeswax, jojoba oil, almond oil, fractioned coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil and a teaspoon of vitamin e oil for the base. We also added teaspoon of Shea butter to make it a little thicker.

For essential oils we used 6 drops of the following:

* Grapefruit
* Thieves
* Cedarwood

The following oils we used 3 drops each:

* Ylang Ylang
* Lemon

We noticed results within the first week and he uses it on a daily basis. He has about 5 people at work that have come over to make some for themselves as well because they like the results they see. We even had someone switch from a store brand to this.

His beard not only feels softer but this method is much less expensive than buying similar products from the store. Plus it helps keep his hair healthy and smelling good.

Another benefit is that this homemade concoction is not full of bad chemicals!
