Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
My son had a wart on the top of his hand. At first the pediatrician said to leave it alone, because they often resolve themselves. Eighteen months later, the wart was still there and big enough that kids were starting to tease him about it. Action was now necessary.
We started with over-the-counter wart gel. After three weeks of this daily treatment there was no change. I stepped it up to an over-the-counter wart freeze off medication. After a month of these weekly treatments, there was still no change.
About that time a friend suggested essential oils. I started with Tea Tree oil and Lavender. I pierced the wart first with a sterilized needle and then put a drop of each oil on the wart, letting it absorb between drops. I did this three times the first day.
By the second day, the wart was already changing. I also read about putting raw apple cider vinegar on warts, so I added this to my treatment.
At night I put a little ACV on a cotton ball, placed it over the wart and taped it down with first-aide tape.
In the morning, we washed the wart and lightly scrubbed the wart with a pumice stone to remove the dead skin (make sure you only rub the wart; the skin around the wart is very soft from the ACV). Once the skin was dried, I applied some more Tea Tree and Lavender oil.
Within five days the top of the wart was gone and I stopped using ACV and Tea Tree.
For the next two weeks I put a drop of Lavender on the area one to two times a day until the skin was completely healed.
After two years, the wart is completely gone and there is no scar. My son is delighted and not self conscious about returning to school!

2. | Associated topics: warts — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus." | Link |
