Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

After 20 years of not playing the clarinet, with a change in career, I started up again in September of 2017. It was to join my husband in a merry little Beer Band. Unbeknownst to me, we would be standing, and not sitting, through the gigs. This meant my narrow wrists had to hold the weight of the clarinet for a 45-minute set, after not having done that for 20 years. I had strengthened my embouchure and breath control, before the gig, but forgot all about my wrists.

I woke up with my hands on fire, the morning after the first gig, around 5 am, quite helpless. I'd had a some RSI, also 20 years ago, and I knew moving my arms and elbows to promote circulation of fluids might help, some. However, it would be half an hour or more before I could safely go to the kitchen or use my hands for anything.

I then started looking around on this testimonial website, for which I am hugely grateful, and decided to try apply a drop or two of Lemongrass oil diluted in fractionated coconut oil.

When I woke up with the pain, I could just manage opening the rollerball bottle, and applying it all over the wrists and hands. I clocked the time, and 12 minutes later, the pain was gone, and mobility restored.

I've noticed my left knee gets a sharp pain, also in the early morning, when I've had some sugary cake or too much meat, in the days before. I apply Lemongrass oil, and it eases the discomfort as well.

Suffice it to say, I have also started doing piano practise to strengthen my wrists, in general, and I have reduced my sugar and meat intake, dramatically, for the inflammation in the knees.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: diet — "Z. officinale [ginger] has been used to control diabetes and dyslipidemia [high cholesterol].... The marked rise in body weights, glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, free fatty acids and phospholipids in serum of the rats that followed 6 weeks of high-fat diet treatment were significantly reduced by Z. officinale treatment.... The present results provide scientific evidence to substantiate the traditional use of Z. officinale in preventing metabolic disorders."Link
2.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "The patient was successfully treated with topical peppermint oil [for postherpetic neuralgia, a complication of shingles].... The authors believe this is the first evidence of peppermint oil (or menthol) having a strong analgesic effect on neuropathic pain."Link
3.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Ameliorative effects of Ocimum sanctum [holy basil] in sciatic nerve transection-induced neuropathy...."Link
4.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Topical high-concentration L-menthol is the only established human experimental pain model to study mechanisms underlying cold hyperalgesia. We aimed at investigating the combinatorial effect of cold stimuli and topical L-menthol on cold pain and secondary mechanical hyperalgesia. Cold detection threshold and cold pain threshold (CPT) increased after L-menthol and remained high after the cold rekindling cycles.... Skin blood flow increased after L-menthol and stayed stable after cold cycles. Repeated application of cold on skin treated by L-menthol facilitated and prolonged L-menthol-induced cold pain and hyperalgesia."Link
5.Associated topics: diet — "Co-administration of the lime essential oil and ketotifen caused significant suppression in gaining weight, as well as decreased body weights of mice. The data obtained in this study suggested that lime essential oil plays an important role in weight loss and could be useful in the treatment of drug-induced obesity and related diseases."Link
