Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
Our 14 year old female dog (about 50 pounds) began to leak urine uncontrollably and continually from her bladder. It didn't really have a smell, but it was wet.
After a google search, we discovered that Cypress oil was suggested. I began to put 1-2 drops of cypress diluted with Coconut or Olive oil on her abdomen every 2-4 hours. After 2 days, all leaking stopped.
I continued once a day for about a week. Then I went to once a week. And I forgot. She began to leak again, so I quickly gave her another dose. I got to where I didn't dilute it and she seemed to handle it with no issues. A maintenance dose seems to be required, maybe every 10 days.
Another suggestion was Copaiba for back or hip pain since that could be the reason for the leaking. Now when she exhibits symptoms of pain I will give her a drop (undiluted) on a dog biscuit. Sometimes it seems like she is requesting it. Sometimes I will put drops along her spine.
I have been doing this for about a year with good results.
