Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
Anyone who has had the HPV virus or worked in a STD clinic knows the treatment for genital warts is no fun. The following is a protocol that has worked for many people. Please make sure you have a proper diagnosis before attempting the following.
First of all, Oregano can be a hot oil, so please dilute it. Have some V-6 mixing oil handy in case the burning sensation is too much to handle. Dilute the end of a q-tip with V-6 or almond oil, then add 1 drop of Oregano on the same end.
Gently paint one wart and wait a few minutes. The heat will gradually set in. You may want to paint one wart at a time, until you feel sure you're not doing too much too fast. Be careful to start slowly. It's important that you repeat this at least once per day for several days.
Be patient, as this will take some time to kill off the warts, but this method definitely works!

1. | Associated topics: genital-herpes — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]." | Link |
2. | Associated topics: warts — "Essential oil of Australian lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) [was effective] in the treatment of molluscum contagiosum in children." | Link |
3. | Associated topics: human-papillomavirus-(HPV),warts — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus." | Link |
4. | Associated topics: genital-herpes — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis." | Link |
