Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I am new to this website for testimonials. I have to say that I've used more essential oils in the last 6 months with intention and purpose than I have in the last 10 years of Reiki and Cranial/Sacral practice.

I purchased an old home, new to me this year and then promptly got cold-like infections that wouldn't go away. A friend introduced me to a new health care provider (a Naturopathic Doctor and Neuro link practioner).

I am thankful to my friend for that. He started me out using Oil of Oregano mixed in jojoba or grapeseed oil on the soles of my feet to clear my system of fungus and which began to work on the 'crud' I was feeling lousy from.

I also purchased a cold air diffuser and began to put Lemon oil, Frankincense, and whatever else I enjoyed on the filter. Within two or three days I began to feel the difference. And my home smelled better than it had in since I moved in.

I have been around many people this winter who have been ill with colds and such. I went quite a long time without getting any of the symptoms and when they did began, I started again to put the Oil of Oregano mixed with grapeseed oil (Oregano is hot, it needs to be mixed in a good plain massage oil for topical use) on the soles of my feet every night.

I don't put the mixture on my feet until I'm ready to be in bed for the night. I have put a towel down at the foot of my bed so the oils won't soak into my sheets, but I've stopped that since I find that Oregano doesn't permanently stain my bedding. When I've used socks, it's been mainly because my feet have been cold at the beginning of the symptoms.

The oils have worked wonders for me. Lemon oil in the diffuser and even a drop in a juice glass of water to drink in the morning has helped me immensely and the oil of Oregano is still helping me kick the tail-end of this winter's cold season.

When I started putting the Oregano on my feet, I soon noticed that the annoying skin tags I had begun to get as well as a increase in moles and other skin discolorations have dropped off. In fact, the usual winter dry skin and cracked heels hasn't happened this year!

I'm not one for testimonials however I needed to communicate about what I've learned and experienced about essential oils to the gain of my well being. I've used scent in my healing practice for years and how I use scent and oils today is far different and more effective as well as pleasant.

If you have any questions to which I might be able to answer, don't hesitate to ask.

2.Associated topics: colds — "Cineole has mucolytic, bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory properties and reduces the exacerbation rate in patients suffering from COPD, as well as ameliorates symptoms in patients suffering from asthma and rhinosinusitis.... The effects of Cineole in the treatment of acute bronchitis were clearly measurable and could be proven after a treatment period of merely 4 days. This study corroborates the fact that Cineole actively and significantly reduces cough frequency after four days."Link
3.Associated topics: colds — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
4.Associated topics: fungus — "As proven in vitro, essential oils [Eucalyptus, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Thyme, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Clove, Sandalwood, Peppermint, Sage] represent a cheap and effective antiseptic topical treatment option even for antibiotic-resistant strains [such] as MRSA and antimycotic [antifungal]-resistant Candida species."Link
5.Associated topics: skin-tags-/-fibromas,moles — "Local application of frankincense essential oil may provide a non-surgical treatment alternative, with no or minimal side effect for carcinoma in situ, minimally invasive carcinoma and pre-cancerous conditions such as actinic keratosis."Link
6.Associated topics: fungus — "To evaluate the eradication of house dust mites (HDM)... by direct contact using the essential clove oil (Eugenia caryophyllus).... A pilot study was initiated to determine the killing power of clove oil.... SEMs revealed dead mites on the fibers.... The zone of inhibition indicated significant clearance for all the bacteria and fungi indicating greater biocidal activity when compared to the controls.... Clove oil is a promising agent for killing dust mites with a potential use in dust-mite laden mattresses."Link
7.Associated topics: fungus — "Demodex blepharitis is a common but overlooked external eye disease. The pathogenesis of Demodex blepharitis in eliciting ocular surface inflammation has been further clarified. The modified eyelash sampling and counting method makes it easier and more accurate to diagnose Demodex infestation. Tea tree oil shows promising potential to treat Demodex blepharitis by reducing Demodex counts with additional antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory actions."Link
