Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

After a life threatening situation from which my cat Tatters recovered with the use of essential oils, I noticed that he was more hesitant to jump up and was becoming creative with accessing high-up areas, like being beside me while I'm on the computer. He also disliked me petting his back.

I currently drop 2-3 drops of Wintergreen oil on his back and within 30 seconds rub it in. He will even arch to allow the rubbing. He then settles down on my left computer arm and purrs.

It's easier for him to jump down after a Wintergreen treatment. This seems to last about a day or two. He seems to need it when the weather changes, and sometimes just because.

He's a happier cat, and that's good to see.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: spine — "We examined the evidence regarding the effect of herbal medicine on pain in people with non-specific low-back pain (LBP).... Lavender essential oil applied by acupressure appeared effective in reducing pain and improving flexibility compared to conventional treatment."Link
2.Associated topics: arthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
3.Associated topics: arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
