Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
My 3 week old grandson had a red, goopy eye that was swollen completely shut. My daughter's midwife had recommended a golden seal herbal eyewash. While we were waiting the 20 minutes for the golden seal to steep, I decided to try essential oils.
I really didn't know what was wrong with his eye but it looked like conjunctivitis as described in the essential oil reference book, which also mentioned blocked tear ducts. Since I was new with the oils and a little nervous about using them on anyone but myself, I heavily diluted the Lavender oil in Olive oil and rubbed it around his eye from the bridge of his nose, over his eyebrow and over his cheekbone.
In about 10 minutes we checked his eye and it was perfectly normal. No redness or swelling and amazingly, no more goop! My daughter and I stood there with our mouths open. Whatever was wrong with his eye, it was gone.
These oils are amazing!
