I was holding my friend's 2 month old baby and she got the hiccups. When they hadn't stopped after 10-15 minutes, I decided to try using an essential oil.
I didn't have one of my books to see which oil would work best, but we had a bottle of Lavender in the bathroom for an air freshener. So I put a drop on one palm, and held it in front of the baby's face so she could inhale it.
Not even one more hiccup came after she had breathed in the Lavender.
