Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My first big experience with Young Living oils came one month after I started using them. I wanted to find something that would help my son with croup. He was six at the time, but had been having episodes since he was two.

One night he started to get a barking cough. This was the first sign that it was going to be a bumpy night. The barking cough always led to difficulty breathing and spending the night in a steamy bathroom getting him to try to breathe. Not fun and very scary!

At the first sign of the barking, I got out my trusty Essential Oils Desk Reference and looked up what to do. I got out my bottle of the RC oil blend and rubbed a few drops on his chest. I then felt inspired to use the Exodus II blend on his feet. I rubbed on the oils, held his feet and said a prayer that they would work and that I would be inspired as to what to do.

I told him to lay still and concentrate on breathing and that I would be back to check on him in about 10 minutes. I left the room and crossed my fingers. I came back in 10 minutes and he was asleep! I was shocked. That had NEVER happened before. I went back to my room and waited for the barking, but I heard nothing. I stayed up listening and waiting.

In the morning he had a little cough, but that was as far as it went.

He had the beginnings of a croup attack one more time a few months later. The barking started and I got out my oils. The same thing happened again. He fell asleep.

He is 13 now and has never had another croup attack. I am so grateful that a friend told me about Young Living. I will never be without these high quality essential oils!
