Peppermint oil has been our first remedy to try for severe sinus headaches in our family. We rub a little on the areas of the head that seem to throb (temples, forehead, cheekbones). Within minutes our pain is eased, or at least bearable, and there is a feeling of warmth to the area. For children, if eye watering after application is a problem, apply V-6 or a vegetable oil over the oil to dilute.
