My step father is in the hospital and as he's had a stroke he's incapable of doing certain things. His eye was bothering him-watering and "gluing shut". I kept wiping his eye for him until I suspected that he had an eye infection.
Well, just my luck - typically if someone has pink eye, or talks about someone who has pinkeye - I get it instantly. That evening driving home, my eyes were already starting to "glue shut".
I checked the essential oils reference book and it suggested taking Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea tree) and in a wide circle around the eyes apply the oil.
Being very careful not to get the oil in my eyes I did this four times that evening and all symptoms of pinkeye were GONE the next morning...
