If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Just thought I'd share a little experience from my weekend. My friend was wearing a new wide-wale corduroy coat, oatmeal color so it's very light, and she unknowingly rubbed up against some grease, black thick grease like if you caught your coat in the car door or something like that. Not exactly sure when she got into the grease but at the end of the day when we noticed it, the original 5 or 6 grease spots had smeared.

Of course she was upset, the coat was a gift and very expensive and she didn't know what to do so....I suggested Thieves Household cleaner since I'd successfully used it on my daughter's ski jacket that had grease on it from the chairlift. She was very apprehensive but willilng to experiment. I diluted about 3 capfuls of the Thieves household cleaner with equal amounts of water, no scientific measuring I was merely eyeballing because I was most concerned with getting the solution on the coat.

I saturated the greasy areas and didn't scrub it because I didn't want to ruin the nap of the corduroy, then let it sit for about 15-20 minutes....I added a little water to where I had applied the household cleaner solution to flush it; I did run my finger over the areas just to kind of work the cleaner into the fabric...We couldn't tell if it was dissolving the grease or not because it was kind of soapy looking so she threw it in the washer w/cold water, ran it through a cycle and it came out perfect....absolutely perfect.

I saw it yesterday after it air-dried and you couldn't tell there was ever grease on it at all, even the corduoury itself looked perfect. (I had her air-dry it because if all the grease didn't come out I didn't want the heat from the dryer setting the grease in the fabric. If it was me and I was at home, and the coat did not come out perfectly clean the first time I would've kept the coat wet and reapplied the Thieves Household Cleaner again, I think that's what I had to do with my daughter's ski jacket.) Needless to say, she was thrilled!
