I am a happy mother of 6 wonderful children. Many of the essential oils have really helped our family emotionally. Raising 6 children is challenging, and though it is rewarding and a blessing, there are times when it can emotionally draining.

During those times where I need a bit of calmness, I inhale any of the following oils or blends, depending on what I have on hand:

The Joy and Citrus Fresh oil blends, Tangerine, Lemon and Peppermint, especially if a headache is coming on due to stress. Another one I've added lately that I really like is Vetiver oil. It has a grounding and calm quality that it brings out of me.

Now for a temper tantrum by any one of the kids, or when they are just running around like crazy, I give them the Peace & Calming oil blend to inhale. When I apply it on the back of the ears of my little 21 month old, it can bring her from having a crying melt down to calming her and bringing her to a cuddly mood.

Sometimes if she is due for a nap but doesn't want one and will struggle, Peace & Calming will either help put her to sleep, or to a resting state where I can at least hold her in my arms. She is very active, even for her age, so this is a blessing.
