Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
My 21 month old toddler is a little crazy. He has gotten so many bonks and bruises in the past few weeks, but none of them have stayed longer than a day or two. Every time he falls, he immediately asks for oils to put on his owies.
The other day he ran into the corner of a dining chair. There was a goose egg already forming on his head. He asked for the oils, so I went and got them and applied a drop or two of the Valor oil blend and Frankincense on his bump. You could tell minutes later that it was already going away.
A few days later he was playing with the piano bench and it fell over. The metal leg hit his eye as it fell to the ground. Above his eyebrow, and under his eye was purple and swollen immediately. We ran for the bag of oils, and I applied some Valor and Frankincense. I knew this injury wasn't going to go away after one application.
I watched it, and when it looked like it was swelling up again I would apply more oils. We did this probably 5 times throughout the day. I forgot to put more oils on his eye after that day. He had a little bit of color for a couple days after the accident, but it would have been a complete black eye if I hadn't used the oils, and lasted well over a week.
Essential oils work miracles!

swelling-/-swollen-/-puffy - "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases." | Link |
