I have always been one to experience excessive menstrual cramps. In my early 20's it took a lot of motivation and 4 advil to get me out of the fetal position and out of bed.
Now when my cramps come back I make a warm compress with Clary Sage and Lavender.
Just run a washcloth under hot water and wring out the excess water. I put 5 drops of each oil on the cloth. Because I like things to be ridiculously hot, I microwave it for about 5-8 seconds. Then I lay down with the cloth over my lower abdomen. I put a dry towel over that to keep it warm longer.
By the time it cools I am nice and relaxed and no longer hurting!
