Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My mother got a horrible case of shingles and it was 5 days before we figured out what was going on and went to doctor for treatment. She used different pain meds and tried a pain patch. It was awful and no help at all.

I read in my essential oils reference book that Peppermint oil helps pain, so we use Peppermint oil in shower gel and lotion daily. I also gave her one purple rainbow fluorite crystal on a string.

Rainbow fluorite is believed to help the nervous system on a physical level, but on more spiritual grounds it readily shows its meditative and inspirational features, promoting positive events, joy and creativity.

By the next morning she was back to herself again.

Unfortunately the nerve pain comes back unless she uses the oil and the stone faithfully. She tried to go without them, but always has to revert back to it so now she just stays with it. I have had to replace the fluorite stone when the power was depleted, or when she was under more stress.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: herpes — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: neuralgia, herpes, shingles — "The patient was successfully treated with topical peppermint oil [for postherpetic neuralgia, a complication of shingles].... The authors believe this is the first evidence of peppermint oil (or menthol) having a strong analgesic effect on neuropathic pain."Link
3.Associated topics: nervous-system — "Ameliorative effects of Ocimum sanctum [holy basil] in sciatic nerve transection-induced neuropathy...."Link
4.Associated topics: herpes — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
5.Associated topics: nervous-system — "Aromatherapy... [consisting of] a blend of oils of lemon (Citrus limonum), lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), and ylang ylang (Cananga odorata)... is effective in lowering systolic blood pressure and sympathetic nerve system activity... of heart rate variability."Link
6.Associated topics: nervous-system — "[N]utraceuticals derived from such spices as turmeric, red pepper, black pepper, licorice, clove, ginger, garlic, coriander, and cinnamon target inflammatory pathways, and thereby may prevent neurodegenerative diseases."Link
