Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
Last Saturday at 2 am, my nephew Ethan fell from the top of a bunk bed onto his back. He was screaming in pain, so an ambulance was called. The EMT's put him in a neck brace and hoisted him on a board and took him to the Emergency Room. While there, the pain subsided from a 10 to about a 6.
In the ER, they tested him for reflexes to make sure he wasn't paralyzed, and they took x-rays of his spine. They didn't find anything wrong with his spine, and they couldn't see any cracked ribs on the x-ray, but they suspected there might be some. So they sent him home with a stretchy support on his ribs, and a week's prescription of hydrocodone.
My sister gave him hydrocodone at 5:30 am, 1:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The last hour of the six hours between doses was challenging, because he would be in pain by the 5th hour, and moaning by the sixth.
On Saturday evening, she borrowed some oils from my mother and applied the Valor, PanAway, Deep Relief and Peace & Calming oil blends plus Marjoram all over his spine and back. She applied them neat, a few drops of each without any carrier oil. That night he slept clear until 8:00 am, whereas before he had been in great pain every five hours.
On Sunday morning she put on a second application of the same oils. She didn't use anymore hydrocodone or ibuprofen. My friend Karen was able to muscle test that he was out of alignment all along his right side - neck, back, hip, knee and ankle, and that a Raindrop would take care of it.
At 1:30 pm, he received a Raindrop from a friend named Marion, who was kind enough to come over to help. In the half hour he was waiting for the Raindrop, lying on his stomach, he was struggling with pain. After the Raindrop, he sat up and said, "I feel a lot better."
A few hours after that, he said a classic line that I would love for Gary Young to hear. Ethan called out to his mom and said, "Mom, I can feel stuff moving around in my back."
As of Monday evening, he has been running around, back to his normal self. He said he was a little sore, but not in any pain.
I feel that this was truly a miracle, and I'm so grateful to Heavenly Father for all the elements that went in to resolving Ethan's situation, including Young Living essential oils and the Raindrop.

4. | Associated topics: inflammation — "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases." | Link |
5. | Associated topics: wound-/-gash — "DHEA [a component of PD 80/20], an androstene hormone [precursor to estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, cortisone, and other hormones], has been shown to possess a wide range of beneficial biological effects mainly attributed to immune system modulation.... thus leading to beneficial effects in diverse human diseases including resistance to infection, neuroprotection, wound healing, diabetes, hepatic injury, cardiovascular disease, and cancer." | Link |
6. | Associated topics: inflammation — "To assess their anti-inflammatory activities, effects of essential oils on neutrophil activation were examined in vitro.... All essential oils tested at 0.1% concentration suppressed TNF-945;-induced neutrophil adherence, and, in particular, lemongrass, geranium, and spearmint oils clearly lowered the reaction even at 0.0125%. Similar inhibitory activities for the neutrophil adherence were obtained by their major constituent terpenoids: citral, geraniol, citronellol and carvone. Thus, some essential oils used as anti-inflammatory remedies suppress neutrophil activation by TNF-945; at a low concentration (0.0125-0.025%) in vitro." | Link |
7. | Associated topics: wound-/-gash — "Lavender essential oil has been used as an anxiolytic [anxiety] drug, a mood stabilizer, a sedative, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antihypertensive [high blood pressure], antimicrobial, analgesic [pain] agent as well as a wound healing accelerator.... The present study suggests that inhalation of lavender essential oil may be an effective and safe treatment modality in acute management of migraine headaches." | Link |
8. | Associated topics: inflammation — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines." | Link |
