I live in a walk-out basement apartment with a couple of slider glass doors. I noticed spiders would appear in the apartment every time I had the doors open, even though the screen doors were kept closed.
I've been spreading a mixture of water and the Purification oil blend around the inside of the screen door frame and I have gotten NO spiders since. I found the protection even persists though light rain storms, but should be re-applied after heavier rain.
Mixing it up in a spray bottle would be handier and that's what I'll try next. But in the meantime, I simply put about 6 ounces of water in a cup (I use a tea mug), then add about 4-6 drops of Young Living Purification essential oil. I pour the water/oil mix on the door sill. Next, I dip a paper towel into the mixture and use the soaked towel to spread the mixture around the remaining 3 sides of the screen door frame.
This is keeping all kinds of spiders out - large, small and all sorts of scary-looking species that I don't know the name of.
It's so nice to have fresh air without having to deal with spiders!
