Last year, I had extensive dental surgery and was fortunate enough to have a dentist who allowed me to prepare for and care for my mouth in my own way. I refused pre-op antibiotics and sedative medication; also post-op antibiotics. My alternative was lots of essential oils. I use NingXia Red juice regularly so I was confident my immune system was ready for the onslaught.
Other than ice packs to help with the swelling, I used Young Living Basil essential oil as an anti-inflammatory right across the upper jaw line of my face, also Helichrysum as an anticoagulant. I used Thieves spray inside my mouth many times during the day.
Other than some slight discomfort, I had no trouble and was delighted with my dentist's reaction. He was quite amazed how well I have recovered. I'm 65 years old and wouldn't ever be without Young Living Essential Oils.
