My daughter is very allergic to poison ivy. She gets a very rapidly spreading rash with extreme itching and swelling. We had tried all over the counter meds and did not want to resort to a steroid shot when I remembered to check my essential oils reference book.
She put the Purification oil blend, neat, on the rash with almost instant relief from the itching. Then I mixed the Animal Scents ointment with Lavender and Purification to ease the swelling. I put about one tablespoon in a small container with 5 drops each of Lavender and Purification.
Later she put this on before bed and wrapped gauze around it to keep the oil from soiling the bedclothes. This process worked great and much faster than any other method we have tried.
