Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My latest use for my Young Living oils has come today with my son's very first nose bleed! He comes screaming into the kitchen, "Mum, help, quick" with his hands full of blood and blood pouring from his nose all over the floor. I instantly thought of Lavender oil and Helichrysum but to be sure checked in my essential oils reference book. The recipe there for a nose bleed was:

3 drops of Helichrysum or Geranium
2 drops of Lavender
2 drops of Cypress

I combined the oils in the palm of my hand and applied to the bridge and sides of his nose as well as at the back of his neck. The bleeding stopped within seconds and he was off happily playing is guitar again (without bleeding all over it!)

To clean up the mess of blood left on his guitar, kitchen floor, carpet in his room and all over his clothes, I used Thieves Household Cleaner. I have a small spray bottle with Thieves Cleaner and water and use it for all stain removal and cleaning jobs. The blood came right out of the carpet and his jumper.

I'm so grateful for my Young Living Oils and products. I'm not harming my precious children with any dangerous chemicals and I'm keeping our house chemical free as I clean it.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: nosebleed-/-bloody-nose-/-epistaxis — "[A] pulverized mixture of four herbs including Agrimonia Eupatoria (A), Nelumbo Nucifera Gaertn (N), Boswellia Carteri (B) [Frankincense], and Pollen Typhae Angustifoliae (P)... was first described in Chinese canonical medicine about 2000 years ago for treatment of various trauma disorders, such as hemostasis [bleeding], anti-inflammatory, analgesia [pain], and wound healing, etc.... [W]e showed that local ANBP treatment not only significantly enhanced wound healing by relieving inflammation, increasing formation of granulation tissue, and accelerating re-epithelialization, but [it] also reduced scar formation by decreasing collagen production [and] protuberant height and volume of scars and [by] increasing collagen maturity.... [Results show that ANBP] promot[es] wound healing and alleviat[es] scar formation, which may be an effective therapy for human wounds at the earliest stage."Link
2.Associated topics: helichrysum-oil — "...its flowers and leaves are the most used parts in the treatment of health disorders such as allergies, colds, cough, skin, liver and gallbladder disorders, inflammation, infections and sleeplessness... In vitro studies characterized Helichrysum as an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent. Its flavonoids and terpenes were effective against bacteria (e.g. Staphylococcus aureus), its acetophenones, phloroglucinols and terpenoids displayed antifungal action against Candida albicans and its flavonoids and phloroglucinols inhibited HSV and HIV, respectively.... Regarding Helichrysum italicum in vivo activity, the highlight goes to ...the anti-inflammatory properties exhibited by its flavonoids, acetophenones and phloroglucinols, as seen in animal models."Link
