Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
My husband was replacing light bulbs inside our timber frame home. He thought it was a good idea to protect the floor, so he used a rubber-backed bath mat under the ladder. His head was 30 feet up and the ladder slipped with my husband falling on top of the ladder. Surprisingly, he could get up and walk, but his foot, back and shoulder kept him in uncomfortable pain and very deep bruising, muscles spasms and back was out of alignment.
Since the moment he fell, I used a variety of oils for muscle, pain, inflammation, joints, bones, etc twice a day-always liberally. The oils I used were Marjoram, Valor, Frankincense, Helichrysum, Peppermint, Wintergreen, PanAway, Cypress, Lavender, Lemongrass, and Idaho Balsam Fir - all neat applications.
The morning after the accident, he told me he was still in pain, but couldn't believe how much better he felt even though the bruising on his body quickly had turned into a dark purple.
The 2nd day I gave him a capsule of 2 drops Lemongrass with 10 drops Idaho Balsam Fir, while still doing the external application. Again, he felt a miraculous improvement and the color of the bruising had subsided a huge amount.
It has now been five days-bruising fading rapidly, minimal pain, and spine realigned! No need to see the chiropractor!! Yay! My husband is now a true believer in these oils. I THANK GOD for them and making my husband well again.

1. | Associated topics: inflammation — "Cineole has mucolytic, bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory properties and reduces the exacerbation rate in patients suffering from COPD, as well as ameliorates symptoms in patients suffering from asthma and rhinosinusitis.... The effects of Cineole in the treatment of acute bronchitis were clearly measurable and could be proven after a treatment period of merely 4 days. This study corroborates the fact that Cineole actively and significantly reduces cough frequency after four days." | Link |
2. | Associated topics: spine,general-pain — "We examined the evidence regarding the effect of herbal medicine on pain in people with non-specific low-back pain (LBP).... Lavender essential oil applied by acupressure appeared effective in reducing pain and improving flexibility compared to conventional treatment." | Link |
3. | Associated topics: general-pain — "Peppermint and its active ingredient menthol have long been used for the treatment of various pain conditions including headache.... Menthol solution can be an efficacious, safe and tolerable therapeutic option for the abortive treatment of migraine." | Link |
4. | Associated topics: general-pain,inflammation — "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases." | Link |
5. | Associated topics: muscle-spasm-/-twitch — "Peppermint oil is harmless and acts locally to inhibit GI [gastrointestinal] smooth muscle contraction.... Peppermint oil solution administered intraluminally can be used as an antispasmodic agent with superior efficacy and fewer side effects than hyoscine-N-butylbromide...." | Link |
6. | Associated topics: inflammation — "To assess their anti-inflammatory activities, effects of essential oils on neutrophil activation were examined in vitro.... All essential oils tested at 0.1% concentration suppressed TNF-945;-induced neutrophil adherence, and, in particular, lemongrass, geranium, and spearmint oils clearly lowered the reaction even at 0.0125%. Similar inhibitory activities for the neutrophil adherence were obtained by their major constituent terpenoids: citral, geraniol, citronellol and carvone. Thus, some essential oils used as anti-inflammatory remedies suppress neutrophil activation by TNF-945; at a low concentration (0.0125-0.025%) in vitro." | Link |
7. | Associated topics: muscle-spasm-/-twitch,general-pain — "Lavender essential oil has been used as an anxiolytic [anxiety] drug, a mood stabilizer, a sedative, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antihypertensive [high blood pressure], antimicrobial, analgesic [pain] agent as well as a wound healing accelerator.... The present study suggests that inhalation of lavender essential oil may be an effective and safe treatment modality in acute management of migraine headaches." | Link |
8. | Associated topics: general-pain — "In traditional folk medicine, tarragon [Artemisia dracunculus L. (Asteraceae)] has been used for treatment of pain and gastrointestinal disturbances.... This study reported the peripheral and central antinociceptive activity of the EOAD [essential oil of A. dracunculus] and rationalized the traditional use of the plant in the treatment of different painful conditions." | Link |
