Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My 30 year old horse began showing signs of decreased urine output in the last year. Acupuncture, chiropractic care and Chinese herbs did not seem to assist this issue. I had used Juniper essential oil over his bladder for awhile and this also did not do much.

I began giving him Young Living K & B tincture, which stands for Kidney & Bladder. Initially I gave him a dropper full once a day just to make sure there were no reactions. I gradually increased the dose to 2 droppers twice a day in his food. Gradually the amount of urine output has increased.

After about 6 weeks, he seems to be back to a normal amount of urination and the color is better. And he seems happier overall. After about 2 weeks of more normal output, I will decrease the amount a bit to see how he does and see what maintenance level of the tincture is needed.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: bladder — "[Tea tree (melaleuca alternifolia)] oil has been found effective in chronic cystitis."Link
2.Associated topics: kidneys — "Many plant extracts that protect against the development of oxidative stress manifest clear antilithiasic activity [preventing the formation of or relieving the symptoms of kidney stones].... Evidence obtained to date supports a contributory role of polyphenols [present in essential oils] in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, some cancer types, and osteoporosis.... The results show an improvement of the renal function in some treated groups with an increase of diuresis and creatinine excretion due to polyphenols pretreatment. Our results clearly validate the ability of polyphenols to protect against papillary calcification of kidney tissue, consequently preventing the development of papillary calculi [kidney stones].... The collective findings to date support a protective effect of polyphenols on kidney tissue. Thus, considering that injury of papillary tissue constitutes the first step in the development of COM papillary calculi, the antioxidant action of polyphenols may contribute significantly to their antilithiasic action."Link
3.Associated topics: bladder — "Frankincense oil appears to distinguish cancerous from normal bladder cells and suppress cancer cell viability. Microarray and bioinformatics analysis proposed multiple pathways that can be activated by frankincense oil to induce bladder cancer cell death. Frankincense oil might represent an alternative intravesical agent for bladder cancer treatment."Link
