Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My son had 5 plantar warts on one foot and 3 on the other. We had let them go for a few months not knowing what they were and assuming they would go away on their own, so they were a reasonable size by the time I took him to the doctor.

The options offered to us were to have them frozen by the doc (approx 4-5 treatments required and apparently very painful), or to use salicylic acid (not painful but the doc said this would take approx 8-12 weeks on the warts my son had).

Not wanting to put my 7 year old son through unnecessary pain, I ended up using the salicylic acid plus Oregano and the Thieves oil blend. I put the acid on for 1.5 weeks to eat away at the thick callused skin over the top of the wart, then rubbed the callused skin off with a pumice stone. This allowed me to get to the heart of the wart with the Oregano and Thieves.

We then applied Oregano and Thieves to each wart twice a day and then covered the warts with waterproof bandaids or duct tape. I was amazed that the warts were all gone in only 3 weeks (not 8-12 weeks as stated by the doctor using just salicylic acid).

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: virus — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: virus — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
3.Associated topics: warts — "Essential oil of Australian lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) [was effective] in the treatment of molluscum contagiosum in children."Link
4.Associated topics: human-papillomavirus-(HPV),virus,warts — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus."Link
5.Associated topics: virus — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
