I want to spread the word about what happened to me when my husband and I went to Ecuador in 2009 to spend Christmas with my son Pablo. The trip to Ecuador from Spain is very long, so in order to make sure my back was going to be fine during our holiday, I had made a reservation for a Raindrop massage in the hotel where we were to stay. The hotel, Spa Samai, is run by the North American citizen, Edward Tuttle, and his Ecuadorian wife Tania Duran. Together they offer Raindrop massages as a service.
When we checked in I still remember how disappointed I was when Tania said they did not have all the oils needed, but that her husband would still give me a very good massage.
In the massage room I was drugged and sexually abused by Edward. I was so intensely traumatized and dizzy that I spent three days in silence and without being able to tell my husband about it. But I have angels around me.
There was a therapist lady staying at the hotel with her husband and daughter and I told her about it. She was a friend of Ed and Tania and was also shocked. We moved to Hotel El Retiro after she talked to my husband. We were both very frightened that the abuse could generate a psychotic outbreak so far from my home. To make matters worse, we did not have return tickets to Spain! We initially did not denounce the abuser because that could generate more stress, so we decided to deal with that once we were back in Spain.
Since then I have been working very hard to avoid that this would happen again to other women in the hotel Samai. I am so grateful for the Young Living oils (especially the SARA blend for sexual abuse) because they gave me the strength and the power to carry on.
Back in Spain I went to see a criminal lawyer. He advised me to install a program on my computer for recording conversations and try to get a recorded confession of what Edward did to me. The recorded conversation I got is terrifying and Edward even asks for my forgiveness and confesses that this has happened before to other Spanish women because we are very sensual (Aaghhh!!).
I denounced the assault via the Ecuadorian consulate in Seville, also giving a copy of the audio CD with the confession. Two months later Interpol police contacted me and said I need to go to Ecuador again if I want to press charges.
My husband and I went to Guayaquil and contracted a well known lawyer, Raul Llerena, to press charges. We then find out there are other denounces against Edward Tuttle in the Fiscally de Santa Elena. So the lawyer decided we should do a TV program together saying this. So we did it.
Back in Spain my Ecuadorian lawyer stopped working on my case. Never pay a lawyer on advance. I kept on calling and calling from Spain and he never got on the phone. So I contacted the Spanish Foreign Office for their help and they suggested I should just contract another lawyer because this one has probably been bribed by Edward Tuttle.
I did not have the money anymore to contract another lawyer, not to mention buying more tickets to Ecuador!
Also, for six months I have not being able to stay in a room by myself because of the shock. My studio feels so frightening. I cannot paint unless someone comes to paint with me but then I do not have the concentration required to paint. So my abuser, not only abused me, but has left me with no job or income. On top of it, the economy is hard in Spain and my husband lost his job! We were devastated!
One day I get a phone call from an unknown person offering me $10,000 dollars to withdraw the charges against Ed Tuttle. He said that the family of his Ecuadorian wife has seen the TV program and that I should stop making so much trouble. Uggghhhh!!! That makes me so sick that I decided to go back to Ecuador by myself (we do not have the money for both tickets) and find out what's happening in Fiscally Santa Elena with my case.
Back in Ecuador I go to see the prosecutor of my case and he gives me the business card of a male gynecologist to have an examination and that I should bring it back to him. After six months?? If I was not even able to go to my own female gynecologist in Spain. So traumatized I am. Until it does happen to you, you don't know how horrible a sexual trauma is. He also tells me that the audio CD is not readable. And that I am very lucky he is receiving me as a Spanish citizen. So in Spain are Ecuadorian citizens always badly treated??
I left the office so angry. In the corridors of the building, an assistant tells me that Ed Tuttle has been bribing people to avoid problems. And of course I do not go to the gynecologist.
Back in Spain I contacted again the Spanish Foreign Office. No, they are not going to help. They want me to present my case to the Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. I write to them with no answer.
I then decide to go to the Press Media for it is my last resource. I contacted Maria Sahuquillo, a very good journalist from El Pais, the newspaper with the largest circulation in Spain, to see if she would be interested on writing about my case. She was! She listened to the audio CD and cannot believe the state my case is in.
This is what she wrote:

Unfortunately the media did not help the case and it is still stalled. So all I can do now is tell the world about Edward's sickness through testimonies like this. I'm in tears now. Writing all this has brought up the memory and left me with a heavy heart. I am going to apply the Joy oil blend. That's it. I am feeling better already!! It has been very hard to write this today but I knew I had to. It will be a release for me when I post it. Release, none of this could have been done if I didn't have the oils with me, Release in me, in my heart, in my body, in my soul.
My psychotherapist recommended me to write a novel about all this epic experience, for writing the hell I was in would accelerate my recovery. It was meant to be a therapeutic work but when he read it, he said it was good enough to be published. And so did Metropolisiana Ediciones, a very nice publishing house!! I am so happy : ) The book is going to be published in June!! There are lots of references to the essential oils I used in Ecuador to keep me in a good mood and in good health.
So you see, sometimes life gets us into difficult situations where we think we will never get out of. Your essential oils are there for you. All of a sudden I am not only a good portrait artist but someone who wrote a novel about trauma and aromatherapy. It all happened so unexpectedly!
Due to the infinite love I have for the oils and people in Spain, who are unable anymore to pay for their kid's portraits, I have also become a designer! I created a collection of bags and pouches to carry oils as well as roll-ons. I am about to open a shop online in Europe and the USA and I will keep you informed. I guess I am also becoming a seller. Maybe its too much. Anyhow if you wish to see the designs go to http://pinterest.com/misseoils/
You cannot buy anything yet but it will give you an idea of what kind of design this crazy Spanish essential oils lover is doing. And more, once the book is published I plan to open a donate page and see if I get enough money to go back to Ecuador and finish with this story with my husband. No way I am going back there by myself again. The evil shamanic couple is still running the hotel Spa Samai. All I want is for Edward to get treatment and stop him from doing massages.
Now I am giving you all a description of this fellow in case you know of him. He works as a journey facilitator for Alliance Exchange www.sacred-journey.com
Ed Tuttle is from Boston and is popular and important in Ecuador because, before moving there and buying the hotel, he worked as a computer engineer at Digital Equipment. This company is the one that participated in the task force that helped develop the Internet and email along with Xerox and the U.S. government. In fact the first email of the story that was sent from Atlanta in '78 was directed to the office where he was the manager. I tell you this so that you see the power of this little guy in a third world country such as Ecuador. A country where he can unleash his perversions.
This testimony is giving the chance to spread this news to a broader public. If any of you have heard of him, please send this testimonial to anyone who knows them. If any of you know him and need proofs of these abuses please click the link down below to contact me. I will send you the recording so you can recognize his voice as well as a copy of the TV program.
Thanks very much for reading up to this point. Such a long testimonial!
Peace & Calming and NingXia Red to all of us.
