Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
I am very allergic to cats (watery eyes, sneezing hysterically, coughing, and gasping for air like an asthma attack), but I had to attend a family gathering with a household containing 3 cats and a dog. In the past I have used over the counter meds to ward off the attack and take more doses throughout the visit. Even with medication I would experience the symptoms to a lesser degree and would be looking forward to leaving.
Being relatively new to Young Living essential oils, I decided to try them instead of the over the counters I usually would take. Before going into the house with 3 cats, I swabbed the inside and outside of my nose with Lavender and I rubbed my neck and chest down with RC.
Just minutes of going in and sitting down, one of the cats jumped up next to me and walked on the couch behind me. I cringed and gritted my teeth. Then another cat came and rubbed up against my leg. I was getting a little nervous because I was feeling surrounded.
I excused myself and took the opportunity to reapply the Lavender, even took a drop on the tongue as an added precaution (yuck!), and inhaled the RC. I could feel the RC clearing my lungs and working.
I thankfully made it through dinner, gift opening, cake, games, and even after the party ended for a total of 5.5 hours! That is a new record for me. I'm usually out after 2 hours and 3 hours is pushing it. I sneezed a little, but I reapplied the Lavender.
I left party feeling fine and breathing normal.
