Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Recently I was assigned to work in the church nursery during the Christmas cantata practice. For the past two weeks the same 8 toddlers have been in the nursery two hours each on Sunday morning, afternoon, evening, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and now Friday evenings due to various services and practices.

After the cantata Sunday they went back to 2 normal evenings per week. I'd already been warned that they were all tired of the nursery and were getting to be pretty wound up and unhappy about being there, some crying as soon as they arrived. Lots of crying, squabbles, etc were wearing out both the children and the nursery workers.

I would not be allowed to put any essential oils on the children, and I once tried putting some on myself while holding a crying baby but it did not seem to help. So, that day I made a batch of homemade play dough which would be something new to hopefully distract and entertain them.

I had just looked up a generic recipe on the Internet. But my special twist included lacing the play dough heavily with the Peace & Calming oil blend. I brought some cookie cutters and had it all laid out first thing when they arrived.

This way they all had it on their hands right away. I made sure to get permission from parents, and mentioned that it had essential oils in it, but no one said no to play dough, though they might have said no if I just asked to oil their child.

There were actually a few less children, so I can't necessarily attribute this all to oils, but although they were very active, we had no tears, nor problems all evening! Yippee! As an added bonus, the whole room smelled great, which isn't always true in the nursery.

I will be definitely be using my special Peace & Calming Play Dough recipe again!
