On New Year's Eve my 8 year old daughter started feeling bad and by the end of the day I noticed her cheeks were really red. I took her temperature and she had a fever of 102.5. That seemed to be her only symptom so I didn't real think of the flu.
By New Years Day I was feeling achy and I developed the chills and a fever of 102.5 by that night. My husband woke up the next morning feeling the same way with a fever of 101.5. We decided to go to the doctor and get checked out.
She did a flu test on my husband and said if he tested positive, then I had the flu also. His test was positive for type A H1N1. I didn't want to start on Tamiflu so we decided to go home and figure out what oils to use instead.
We did the Raindrop Technique on each other with the RC blend 1st, the Thieves blend 2nd and Peppermint 3rd because it is also a driver oil. We used the same oils on our feet and I also diffused them into the air. My husband and I also took the Inner Defense blend twice a day.
Finally, after 3 days our symptoms had improved to the point that we were able to function again and after 4 days my husband was back to work!
After all the scare this year with the flu, I'm so grateful that we have God's medicine to use, and for all of Gary Young's wisdom and knowledge behind the wonderful oils we are blessed with.
