Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
I woke up in the middle of the night with my left thumb hurting. As I tried to flex the thumb, it snapped, and I could not figure out what was going on. When morning came I wanted my husband to see what my thumb was doing, and nothing happened--just a normal bending thumb.
A couple of days later it did it again. It sure surprised the heck out of my husband as well as myself when it snapped as I bent it. In fact it was kind of funny because we had never seen anything like that happen. It would come and go.
Then a month later my right thumb started doing it, and it just got worse and worse until it would lock in a straight position. When I used that hand sometimes the thumb would bend and lock in a bent position, and I would have to snap it back into place; that did not feel good!
One day I was in a store when it locked, and I had my other hand full. I asked the lady behind me if she could snap it back into place for me because it was hurting. When she pushed the thumb up it snapped, and it almost set her off running. She could not believe what she saw or heard.
Then the thumb got to a point where I could not bend it at all, and if it did bend and lock, it was very painful to get it straight; but it hurt worse to leave it bent. I used all kinds of oils on it, and nothing would relieve the pain or stop the thumb from locking up. Soaking it in hot water was the only relief, but that would help only for a short time.
It had been locking up on me for over a month when I found the right oil to use.
I had my Deep Relief roll-on and decided to put it on both of my thumbs as I went to bed. In the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and as I pulled the covers back, my thumb locked. Reaching to unlock the thumb, it straightened on its own without any pain.
Wow! I couldn't believe it happened that easily. I was able to flex it freely as it snapped back and forth. I was so excited about that, so I applied the Deep Relief again. When I woke up the next morning I was able to bend it freely, except there was just a gentle snapping of the thumb and the pain was gone.
I kept applying the Deep Relief off and on all day, and it was like it never happened; it just acted like a normal thumb should. Wow! That was exciting to have my thumbs back to normal in such a short time. The research I did on locking fingers and thumbs said it could take weeks to get back to normal.
This happened in October 2012. I have not had any more trouble with my thumbs since. It just took one day of using Deep Relief, and it's like it never happened!

1. | Associated topics: joints — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines." | Link |
2. | Associated topics: joints — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis." | Link |
3. | Associated topics: joints — "Herbalists treat skin ailments, such as fungal infections (like candidiasis), wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It is also used in a healing bath for joint and muscle pain. One study evaluating treatments for children with eczema found [that] it was therapeutic touch from the mother that improved symptoms; in other words, massage with and without essential oils (including lavender) both reduced the dry, scaly skin lesions. Another study found that lavender oil may improve pain control after surgery." | Link |
