I love natural remedies!

Thursday night I started to feel icky.... Friday I was sick! I woke to pretty much no voice, and what I did have was so low you'd never recognize me. My throat was so very swollen and sore..... very painful.

I applied Young Living Thieves therapeutic-grade essential oil liberally (1:5) to my throat/glands and the back of my tongue. Within a half hour I was much better and continued to get better until the pain was gone!

I repeated this every 6 hours. Then I developed a serious painful chest cough. So I continued with Thieves and also applied Peppermint to my chest liberally for congestion. This worked wonderfully. I could breathe better within 20 minutes, and I also continued with the Thieves.

Yesterday I was sneezing and had a nonstop runny nose, watery eyes, and raw nose, which a dab of Lavender helped with. As I typically do, I started to have sinus pain. So I started the Cinnamon and local honey remedy. I went through all stages within less than 3 days!!! I feel so much better, and I only have minimal sinus pain. So I need to still complete the Cinnamon and local honey for 3 more days, and it should be gone completely as well. I already feel so much better.

I also used a neti pot with distilled water yesterday and a cool-mist humidifier last night with a drop of Thieves in it. I used absolutely no pharmaceuticals! This was a very short visit of the crud; for others, this would last a week or two. I use Thieves the minute I think one of us is catching something or has been exposed. The key is to start ahead of the crud. I use these oils with my 17-month-old son and our animals as well.

Note: I am using these oils during my pregnancy, and Peppermint (with Lavender sometimes added) helps greatly with nausea!
