Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

A friend at work had a bad, very noticeable stye on his upper eyelid, quite red and swollen. I searched Oil-Testimonials and found a few results with a new word: chalazion.

"A chalazion, also known as a meibomian gland lipogranuloma, is a cyst in the eyelid that is caused by inflammation of a blocked meibomian gland," says Wikipedia.

I had no idea if that was his malady, so I gave him a few drops of Lavender and Frankincense in olive oil, figuring it couldn't hurt. He used that diluted mix for a few days with some good effect. The redness was reduced somewhat, but the swelling was still there.

Then he went to a doctor who told him, "You have a chalazion. It may or may not reabsorb into the skin of your eyelid. And that might take up to 2 years. But come back and see me in 2 weeks so I can take another look at it if its not making any progress. Then maybe we can do surgery on your eyelid."

When he reported this to me, I remembered the testimonials I found here. He was very surprised that I had heard of a chalazion. Many thanks to you fine oilers for sharing your testimonials!

I told him to carefully put one drop of neat Frankincense on the spot every morning and evening. Within a few days of doing this treatment, the redness vanished, and the circumference of the bump was reduced. By the end of 2 weeks, the chalazion was nearly gone. He was overjoyed!

Once again, we avoided painful and expensive surgery with our miraculous therapeutic grade essential oils.
