With my bare hand, I picked up a burner grate from the top of our gas stove, immediately after the flame was shut off and a pan of boiling water had been removed from it. It was hot!

I got the LavaDerm and started spraying my hand. The pain didn't go away immediately, so I kept walking around and spraying my hand every minute or two. When blisters did not form, I knew it'd be alright.

After about 10-15 minutes of spraying my hand, I got distracted and went off to do something else.

There was no more pain, so I never thought about it again, until I realized that my hand was completely fine!
