Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
To start, I am going to share way more information than many people prefer to read. But someone has got to do it! As we all know, hemorrhoids are one of those things that no one likes to talk about, but many of us get them at some point.
So my first experience with them was this week. After a week of traveling and eating different foods, I found myself rather constipated, resulting in hemorrhoids caused by straining. I honestly had no idea what to do and was too embarrassed to admit that it was happening.
Considering I do not currently have medical coverage, the doctor was not really an option. So for three days I just let it be, wishing it would go away. It was not very large as some can be, but it was external.
Well, it did not magically disappear. And after three days of rather bloody bathroom trips, I knew I had to do something. So I grabbed my essential oils reference book and researched on Oil-Testimonials.com. I was hesitant at first because it is such a delicate area, but I decided to go for it.
I used a few drops of Lavender oil and 2 drops of Basil (optional, and did cause a slight tingle, but nothing unbearable). And I used just a drop of 100% organic pure jojoba oil to help spread (again optional, and not recommended during the day just because the oily feel was kind of strange... but soothing). I applied directly on and around the area before I went to bed.
When I woke up it was totally back to normal. I had no swelling and no blood after a bowel movement. That was after ONE application. I did continue with just the Lavender (neat, gentle enough to use in the sensitive spots) twice a day for two days afterward. But so far, there are no signs of return.
While researching hemorrhoids, I saw that some can get very large and painful, requiring surgery.
I firmly believe with the use of Young Living oils a person will never have to get to that point. It worked for me.

1. | Associated topics: swelling-/-swollen-/-puffy — "[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases." | Link |
2. | Associated topics: constipation-/-irregularity — "A 4 weeks treatment with peppermint oil improves abdominal symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.... The symptoms evaluated were: abdominal bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, feeling of incomplete evacuation, pain at defecation, passage of gas or mucus, and urgency at defecation." | Link |

4. | Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[T]he level and duration of menstrual pain and the amount of menstrual bleeding were significantly lower in the aromatherapy group than in the placebo group. These results suggest that aromatherapy is effective in alleviating menstrual pain, its duration, and excessive menstrual bleeding. Aromatherapy can be provided as a nonpharmacological pain relief measure and as a part of nursing care given to girls suffering of dysmenorrhea or excessive menstrual bleeding." | Link |
5. | Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[A] pulverized mixture of four herbs including Agrimonia Eupatoria (A), Nelumbo Nucifera Gaertn (N), Boswellia Carteri (B) [Frankincense], and Pollen Typhae Angustifoliae (P)... was first described in Chinese canonical medicine about 2000 years ago for treatment of various trauma disorders, such as hemostasis [bleeding], anti-inflammatory, analgesia [pain], and wound healing, etc.... [W]e showed that local ANBP treatment not only significantly enhanced wound healing by relieving inflammation, increasing formation of granulation tissue, and accelerating re-epithelialization, but [it] also reduced scar formation by decreasing collagen production [and] protuberant height and volume of scars and [by] increasing collagen maturity.... [Results show that ANBP] promot[es] wound healing and alleviat[es] scar formation, which may be an effective therapy for human wounds at the earliest stage." | Link |
