Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My father-in-law got up one morning and thought he had experienced a stroke; his head really hurt. After my assessment, we determined there was no stroke; but the top of his head was tender, and the side of his face was also tender to the touch. He had developed shingles but had no visible vesicles yet.

I decided to use him for a case study since I was in aromatherapy school. I painted his head and face with a new clean blush brush three times per day with the following blend of essential oils:

* Lavender
* Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree)
* Bergamot
* Ravintsara

I mixed these oils in a carrier oil base of Tamanu oil, which is soothing to the skin. My father-in-law got this mixture massaged into his feet three times per day.

Within a minute of application, he was feeling relief from the discomfort. He only got 2 to 3 vesicles, and when they healed he only had an occasional itch or tickle in that area.

My own father developed the same ailment, but my mom would only use "what the medical doctor ordered." He had huge, black scabs on his forehead at my sister's wedding and suffered for years with shooting nerve pains in that area.
