Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.
I am lactose intolerant. If I have dairy without taking Lactaid, I go through a 4-hour process of waves of stomach cramps, chills, diarrhea, and often vomiting.
When I was traveling on a ski holiday, I must have accidentally had a bit of dairy at a cafe at the top of the mountain. Within 30 minutes the stomach cramping started. And by the time I made it back to the condo, the cramps had gotten worse, and the diarrhea was kicking in.
Since I was away from home, I didn't have anything like Tums or other antidotes, so out of desperation I put a drop of Peppermint directly on my tongue. Then I diluted 2 drops of Peppermint in 8 drops of almond oil and rubbed it on my stomach.
Within 10 minutes, my symptoms decreased by 80%! I was so relieved that I fell asleep for 15 minutes. When I woke up, my symptoms were down slightly.
I did another round of dropping the oil on my tongue and rubbing it on my tummy, and within the next hour or so I was totally back to normal. What a relief to know that I have an emergency protocol if I ever run into trouble again.
