I was first aware of Young Living Essential Oils a couple of years ago when my niece was talking about them at a family Christmas party. I thought that was cool but did not take time to find out more about the oils. I had so many things going on in my life, and the thought of another "learning experience" was just too much.
Looking back, I wish I had taken the time to give essential oils a serious look. This could have possibly changed my life at that time. That was December 2012.
In October 2013, ultrasound tests revealed a large mass on my right ovary. It would not be until December that I could get into MD Anderson, so we had some time of waiting, wondering, praying, and believing for a miracle. It was during this period that the Lord sent Young Living oils to me again. He is good, and He does all things well!
I was in serious pain and was sick all the time. There were many days that I could not even walk. I had been sick for so very long -- a couple of years in fact. It was during this time that a dear friend came to my house with a bottle of Young Living Frankincense oil. She gave it to me with tears in her eyes and asked me to try it. I promised her that I would.
Before she left she prayed for me and asked the Lord to heal me and to use this oil to bring healing to my body. I did try it, and within 2 days I felt better than I had in 2 years. I was absolutely amazed.
So the final diagnosis determined in December 2013 was stage IV colorectal cancer with a very large tumor in the colon nearly obstructing the bowel. It had spread to both ovaries and the entire lining of the stomach. I also had multiple lesions on and in the liver.
Surgery was not a good option due to the location of the tumor. We had to start chemotherapy right away in hopes of shrinking the tumor to avoid bowel obstruction. I started chemo in December 2013. Apparently it worked because a few days after the first treatment I did have a bowel movement. I continued getting chemo treatments every two weeks for several months.
In March 2014 the doctors told us that I would live the rest of my life on chemo. They said that this type of cancer returns immediately once chemo is stopped. This did not sound like a good plan to us. People cannot live for very long on chemo, and the quality of life is generally not good due to the serious side effects. So after much prayer we decided in March that we would do no more chemo.
During this period of chemo treatments I was prescribed serious pain medication, medication for nausea, and medication for regulating the bowels. All of these have awful side effects of their own. I absolutely loathed taking them because I would be irritable or knocked out, and the whole purpose of doing chemo was to live -- live and be with my family and friends -- not live in bed because of medication!
I decided I would use Young Living essential oils for pain management, nausea, vomiting, regulating my bowels, muscle spasms, fatigue, and weakness, along with all the other side effects of chemotherapy. I have done this for months now and have not taken ANY prescription or over-the-counter medications at all, not even routine stuff such as Tylenol, Advil, or allergy medicine! I'm telling you ABSOLUTELY NONE!
Each and every time I have gone to MD Anderson my lab work has been fantastic. My immune system has never been low or compromised in any way. In fact, in April 2014 the doctor's words were, "Your lab work is PERFECT!" The bloodwork that reveals the amount of cancerous cells in the body has steadily declined and now is within normal range.
God sent His word, and He healed me. I know this is His doing, and I am fully convinced He brought Young Living essential oils into my life to bring about this miracle!
